Spring Shoe Must Haves

I know it’s still winter and I do love the snow but I can’t help thinking about spring. Especially, after seeing all the super cute sandals, slip-ons and wedges on display now. It has me dreaming of warm days and pedicures. Speaking of pedicures, I am in desperate need. I haven’t checked out any of the salons here in town but I did pick up this new nail polish  from Target that is amazing. The name alone caught my attention. “Defy and Inspire.” Isn’t that such a great name? But what really got me was the fact it was an afforadable price for a line that doesn’t have all the gunk in it. It’s hard to find brands formulated without parabens, formaldehyde and toluene that are also afforadable. Did I mention there is also lipstick to match? I picked up the color Day Dreamer and I love it. Look for my spring makeup finds in my next post. Some of the shoes I have chosen are definitely a spring and/or summer shoe for those of us not living in a warm climate. Better believe if I was living in Florida that I’d already be rocking these platform espadrille sandals. I don’t usually go for a straight platform sandal, at least not since the late 90’s, but I’m definitely digging these. My inner 7th grader is stoked. I’m also really hoping that the Mala Shield  wedge sandals will come back in stock online. But until then I have found another espadrille platform sandal  that would work great with dresses and jeans. I also found some great options that will work well for transitioning into spring. I’v been wanting to try some slip-ons and these backless loafers are so cute. I think that they will be great to both dress-up with some chinos and button-down or dress-down with jeans and a sweater. Same goes for these pointy toe loafers. These have a back as do the suede ones  with a similar style. I can’t help but loving these tassel loafers. I definitely had a pair really similar to these back in the 1990s. I also really liked finding that a lot of these new spring shoes come in wide widths. I know that my mom has a wide foot and is always looking for spring shoes that will fit comfortably and I’m hoping that these will fit the bill. I do want to mention as I shared in my stories that I sized down a half size in both espadrille sandals with straps. If you have a narrower foot I would suggest this. When I tried on the 7, which is my true size, I found that I had a lot of gapping by the straps. However, in all the loafers I would suggest going with your true size. Now if only we could have some spring weather for more than a day and I could rock some open toe or backless shoes.
